If you are unsure whether the course is suitable for you, please contact our team and we will be happy to advise.

Do you offer interest-free payment plans?

Do I need previous experience?

No. Previous experience in earwax removal is not required. Our course is designed to take you through both the theory and practical elements in a structured and supportive environment.

Is the course CPD Accredited?

Yes. Excel Hearing is a CPD Accredited training provider, and our Earwax Removal Training Course is fully CPD Accredited.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive your CPD Accredited Certificate on the same day.

Is the course practical?

Yes. The course is highly practical and focuses on developing your confidence through hands-on training using professional earwax removal equipment under the supervision of our experienced trainers.

Which earwax removal techniques will I learn?

You will receive practical training in all three recognised earwax removal techniques:

Microsuction
Ear Irrigation
Manual Instrumentation

When do I receive the pre-course learning?

Your learning begins as soon as you book. Comprehensive pre-course learning material is sent before your training day, allowing you to study the theory in your own time before attending the practical course.

How long does the pre-course learning take?

Most delegates find that around one hour a day for approximately one week is sufficient to complete the pre-course learning comfortably.

Is my theory knowledge assessed?

Yes. On the morning of your training, your theory knowledge is assessed before progressing to the practical sessions. This ensures you have a solid understanding of the core principles before carrying out practical procedures.

How many delegates attend each course?

To ensure every delegate receives individual attention, our courses have a maximum of six delegates.

What equipment is included in the equipment package?

Our equipment package includes:

Medical grade suction machine
3.5x head loupe with LED light
ENT otoscope
Zoellner suction probes
Crocodile forceps
Jobson Horne probes
Disposable ear specula
Medical grade gloves
Clinical wipes

Will I train using the same equipment I take home?

Yes. One of the benefits of choosing our Training & Equipment Package is that you will train using the same professional equipment you will take away with you, helping you become familiar and confident with it before starting your own service.

Can I purchase equipment later?

Yes. You can purchase equipment after your course if you prefer. However, many delegates choose the Training & Equipment Package so they can train using the same equipment they will use in practice.

Do you provide business guidance?

Yes. In addition to your practical training, we provide practical guidance on setting up your earwax removal service, together with a range of professionally developed clinical and business resources to support you as you get started.

What support do I receive after the course?

Do I need CQC registration to provide earwax removal?

CQC registration requirements depend on your professional background, where you provide the service and how your earwax removal service is structured.For registered healthcare professionals, CQC registration is generally required when providing regulated activities independently. However, requirements can vary depending on your individual circumstances.During the course, we provide general guidance on CQC registration and setting up your service. We also recommend checking the latest CQC guidance or seeking independent advice to ensure you meet all applicable regulatory requirements.
