Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a medical background?

While a healthcare background (Nursing, Audiology, Pharmacy) is beneficial, this course is open to all skill backgrounds. We provide the foundational knowledge needed to practice safely.

Is the course accredited?

Yes. Our course is fully accredited by the CPD Group. You will receive 8 CPD credits and a certificate of completion on the day.

Can I start my business immediately?

Yes! Once you have your certification and the necessary medical indemnity insurance (which we can advise on), you are qualified to begin treating patients.

You don’t need ear care experience to join. We start with essential theory and build up to hands-on practice. Basic understanding of ear anatomy and clinical risk management is helpful but not required.

Will I get practical experience?

Yes, the training includes supervised hands-on practice with otoscopes and clinical microsuction units so you gain confidence using the equipment.

What if I don’t pass the competency assessment?

If you need more support to meet the safe practice standards, we will discuss a tailored plan to help you reach competence.

Are refreshments provided?

Yes, hot and cold refreshments are provided throughout the day.

Is parking available?

All our venues have easy-access parking. Specific details are shared when you confirm your booking.

What equipment do I need to bring?

We provide professional microsuction equipment for training. You don’t need to bring anything unless you prefer to train on your own device.

Can I buy equipment?

Yes. You can purchase professional microsuction equipment and accessories through us at competitive rates.

Do you offer post-course support?

We’re here to support you after training with clinical advice and guidance as you start using your skills in practice.
